The close family and community ethos and culture of the school was further enhanced by more pupil involvement serving tea and cakes made in the Home Economics class and a presentation of a photographic book of local sights called ‘The red wellies’ by its 2 creators, Zan and Dan.
In a letter of thanks from Mr Ingram he stated  ‘ I enjoyed meeting Crossreach staff and was very pleased to have the opportunity to speak to Young people and see the results of the work you are doing to develop the boys’ capacities as successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to society.
