Community
As part of Ballikinrain's 'Include Me In' Service, our Community Team builds partnerships with local agencies to support young people to positively access, and be a part of, community life. The team's work is based on the belief that children, young people and families have a range of skills to draw on to resolve difficulties and to develop coping strategies. By adopting a child centred approach the team works with the 'whole child', considering his/her relationships, as well as their involvement in their own community. Successful partnerships have been built that enhance the intervention programmes that we run for children and their families. By working in conjunction with other professionals, the team are able to maximise successful outcomes for the people that they support. A focus for these programmes is to improve relationships and enhance personal development for children and their families. The team are currently delivering a range of defined programmes, which incorporate early intervention strategies, via group-work in schools, inter-collaborative working with key agencies, combined with an element of focused one to one outreach work.
